Work Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (WHSEQ) Management Plan
Based on the requirements of AS/NZS 4801 Occupational health and safety management systems, a WHSEQ Management Plan nominates who is responsible for work health, safety, environment and quality within the workplace.
The WHSEQ Management Plan also identifies the hazards associated with the particular work being undertaken at a workplace, along with the hazard and risk control measures that will be implemented to adequately protect people at the workplace (or who are likely to be affected by workplace activities and operations) from the risk of injury or illness associated with those hazards.
The WHSEQ Management Plan addresses the following components:
- Policies, Roles and Responsibilities;
- WHS Consultation;
- Hazard Identification;
- Risk Management;
- Quality Assurance;
- Training, Competency and Inductions;
- Hazard, Incident and Injury Recording;
- Environmental Controls;
- Review of Implementation; and
- Legislative References.
And as such, should be approved and signed off by the Managing Director or Executive of the operating entity.
